Is it strange I prefer David Albarn as an entirely studio based band these days? Feel like he hit perfection with high end creative production and animations that add a whole new dimension to his music. Live versions just detract from it in my head.

I spent two hours basically going through one Gorillaz video after another, finally moved on, and now I’m back again.
That Colbert is going places
At first I was like “he better not be doing the de la bit, because that would be corny” but he actually killed it. Usually non rappers rapping is a bad thing.
I never realized until now that his voice effects (at least live) aren’t digital. He actually uses an oldschool mic from like a radio or something. That’s really awesome to me for some reason, haha.

It has to set in for me every couple of years, Feel Good Inc is just a really, really good song.
Not to be *that* guy, but I think Colbert’s rapping part *was* pre-recorded.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Mr. Colbert’s an awesomely talented guy, and I’d be proud to give him a naked, oily backrub any day. But you’ll notice he’s only on the monitor screens while doing the rap bridge, and only after does the camera go to a shot of him dancing on the balcony.
Why not have M.C. Colbert on the stage whilst he’s rapping, standing with the band? Because the rap bridge to this tune is difficult and would be very easy to flub live. Unless you’re a trained rap musician like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, or Bubbles from Sunnyvale Trailer Park. Easier to pre-record it so there’s no mistake.
Anyways, please don’t downvote me for having a differing opinion. I just calls it as I sees it. I love you all, and I hope we can get together for a backrub someday.
