  1. What happened to the petition?
I read the decision was "The Government has no plans to introduce a tax on sugar-sweetened beverages. The Government will announce its plans for tackling childhood obesity by the end of the year." – I have not seen any concrete plans by the government yet (October 2017), and at the same time obesity is skyrocketing and junk food places are mushrooming out on every corner (and near every school)

  2. Horrible, rule # 1 in Humus is to wash it anyway and peel the skins , which can takes a long time to do.. rule #2 is to simmer it for extra hour even if it comes cooked. rule #3 the quality of he Thina is critical must be soft all the way and not bitter. ratio of raw Tahina to Humus 1/3. rule #4 use 3 garlic coves per 400 gr of Humus. Anything else is just spicing to your taste. No lemon is not a must if the Tahina is sweet. On top of Ready Humus use Tahina creamed with juice fro half a lemon and slowly added water.salt, peper, sweet paprika, garlic, olive oil and chopped Cilantro. wipe it with a fresh and worm meaty Pita bread and envoy.

  3. A paradoxical kitchen room.
    Minimum Working Area.
A huge quantity of kitchen utensils which occupy all the free space
There is no normal powerful blender /Vitamix, RPM L'equip, Blendtec/
Around the sink are electrical appliances.
I'm very surprised by what I saw. I could not cook in such kitchen.

  4. Clubing together with flatmates is ok if you all eat about the same amount but if not the small eaters will be paying for those with much bigger appetites and those bigger eaters will not recognise that they are eating someone else's share – that is a certainty. If you eat small look after yourself.

  5. I can't believe the amount of people that think they know better than a real professional chef and I bet haven't even made this recipe and tried it before commenting on what they'd do better, or what they thinks wrong with Jamie's version. Make, try it then comment.

  6. TY for teaching us about food. My parents did a terrible job of teaching me about food. Society is all round bad and advertises crap foods with all the associated problems you mentioned. Ive been vegetarian now and pleased to find this video. Hummus is so tasty and good for you. I can eat it everyday. I need to save for a blender or similar to make it cheaper than store variety.

  7. jesus i hate this sicko……….. there is no one on earth i would rather punch more………………………………… i came to this from vegan gains cooking video grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  8. A sugar impact story for you… when I was a child, in fifth and sixth grade, I was a competitive swimmer with the local chapter of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) – we trained at Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta California and one of our coaches also coached Olympian swimmer Mark Spitz. I was fast for my age group and our coach moved me up to the older age group. My father was a PhD student in Sociology at UC Santa Barbara and he decided to test my reaction to sugar before a swim meet in Atascadero, which was approximately one hour and fourty-eight minutes north of Goleta by bus.

Dad poured a heap of sugar on a boxed cereal for breakfast and insisted I eat the whole thing about an hour before our bus left for Atascadero. I didn't win any of my heats and felt like a slug the whole time. It was the dumbest thing to do to an aspiring athlete.

  9. +Jamie Oliver, So glad you're bringing the attention to the over consumption of sugar and the ill-effects of it. It would be great if you'd also get on board soon with using more healthy fats (like adding more olive oil when making the humus) in your recipes. It actually helps with weight loss and overall good health. Love your channel!

  10. lol dairy is not healthy at all ….. adding that yogurt creates a complete contradiction to your healthy concept. But overall it does look delicious but i would not say it is healthy, and i would also add some garlic

  11. I'm curious about your petition, maybe I understood you wrong. But if your going to get the tax off the drinks won't that make people buy more to help out. Seems like a vicious cycle. Maybe it would be better to tax the facility or vender directly. Or maybe that's what you ment. Love the hummus.
