Stockholm Design Talks – “Moving Forward” at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2014

22
The theme of Stockholm Design Talks this year is Moving Forward; looking at the need for the furniture and design industry to look to the future, as the industry emerges from a tough financial period. The theme includes the local Scandinavian perspective side by side with an international outlook and a forward-looking approach. Packed with powerful content and with familiar names as panelists, Stockholm Design Talks will inspire visitors, highlight the latest issues in the industry, including e-commerce and design, offer an insight into new waves and provide the tools for success in a national and international arena.

The program will feature three focus areas clearly linked to the overall theme “Moving Forward” and headed by three top names. “Hospitality Design” is led by Guy Dittrich, specialist in hotels and design, with a wealth of articles under his belt for publications including Wallpaper. “Design Pays?” is headed by Mark Isitt winner of the Spot City prize in 2008 for his articles on urban planning and segregation. And “The Power of Scandinavian Design” is led by Hanna Nova Beatrice, design writer and editor-in-chief of Residence magazine. Residence will also be hosting the parts of the program open to the public on the Saturday.

Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will be held on February 4-8 2014 at Stockholmsmässan.
Public day is Saturday 8 February, when the fair is open to everyone from 10. a.m. to 5 p.m..
The whole week is also Stockholm Design Week, with plenty going on across the Swedish capital.
