  1. Anyone know what happened to AboveAverage productions? Some classic videos were made by them, like [“Everyone’s Upstairs Neighbours”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IRB0sxw-YU) but they haven’t posted in 10 months.

[The Real Reason Your food takes so long](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTnj5BVyJvg) (spoiler: a secret “reverse yelp”)

    [“We’re ‘trying'”. “No, you’re just having sex.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwq2TJsmqAg)

    edit:

also there’s [tiny diapers for the tip of your penis](https://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_3385096423&feature=iv&src_vid=15iCobMc7Nk&v=cUja2vtbx6I)

  2. The bowing thing got me.

I had an older person bow to a friend at a party after saying, “your accent is so exotic.” She was 100% serious in thinking they were both complimentary gestures.

    Edit: phrased that poorly.

My friend Raj met my neighbor Phillis at a party. Raj moved to the states in middle school, but still has a bit of an indian/british accent. He’s lived in the states for almost 30 years.

I introduced them. Phillis shook his hand. After hearing him say Hello complimented him on his accent. Calling it exotic was a bit much, but he took it as quirky phrasing. The conversation was pretty normal and consisted of about 30 seconds about his background; where he mentions his three decades in the US. She gets pulled away, but bows with her hands held together repeatedly as she was saying her goodbyes.

It was well meaning but pretty misguided.

  3. It’s really simple. The more you talk about a person’s skin tone the more you think about it. And the more you think about it, the less you consider the character of the person.
