I hate the way they try and make innocuous ingredients sound like they’re these crazy chemicals when most of the stuff are things you’d use in your kitchen: baking powder, sugar (dextrose), MSG, etc. We need to stop being scared of an ingredient because it has a long name or acting like that means it’s bad.
When I went to England I was in Ipswich and that KFC was delicious. The chicken bowls make look gross but they are really good. The biscuits and Cole slaw are my favs.
Where I live in the PNW US KFC corn is on the cob, not in a bowl. We also have Coleslaw (shredded cabbage) 3 types of chicken- Crispy, Original Recipe and Skinless. 8,12,16,20 piece buckets. We also have individual meals in 2,3,4 piece with 2 small sides & a biscuit.
Amazing how many get so excited over fast food, rather than good sit-down Mom and Pops. Really sad when people go to other countries and first thing they want Starbucks and McDonald's. Why even go?
Never really get kfc but I love Popeyes just amazing food for an amazing price. Chicken tenders with sweet heat and a side of fries are the best. The chicken sandwich is so good but can’t get to much it’s that hot.
In our defense, we usually get large-sized orders on a road trip just to save on having to make so many stops- everyone slowly eating it until someone either needs to make a pit stop or fill the car up on gas. And there is another thing to take into account on why we have large-sized orders besides long road trips. 1.) Parties or 2.) A large family (we're talking about brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts, and so on.) All in all, it makes more sense to order the larger portion for such reasons. (Both my parents come from a large family. My mom came from a family of 6 and dad came from a family of 12 😅)
The KFC in my town (in the US) went so far downhill that they closed it a few months back. It used to be so delicious but before it closed it was horrid
Pies in the US are sweet desserts, however we also have many meat pies and we call them "pot pies". Chicken pot pie, beef pot pie, Turkey pot pie. If we are refering to a specific usually British item we say shepherds pie but that uses mashes potatoes rather than pastry .
If you live in the South East you'll find iced tea at KFC. And several restaurants that I've worked at kept bags of Twinings, or the like, on hand if anyone asked for a cup.
Dave Thomas, founder of the Wendy's restaurant company, was once a vice president at Kentucky Fried. He suggested to the board the idea of testing the sale of boxed meals for sale. Prior to that the menu was mainly aimed at filling a family table. A bucket of chicken, with sides. Ready to go when you got home, for a Sunday dinner or a family get together. Not someone's lap at lunchtime.
I don't know if this comment will translate to the UK. But Mtn Dew is the Pepsi equivalent of Coca-Cola's Mellow Yellow. 7Up is the Pepsi equivalent of Coca-Cola's Sprite. And it's the 7Up/Sprite that are supposedly lemon-lime flavor. It's been so long since I've had a Mellow Yellow/Mtn Dew that I can't even remember what the flavor is supposed to be.
Mt. Dew is HUGE in America. Back around 2002, I coached and taught at a high school here in Iowa. We had seven pop machines throughout the school where the kids could get drinks all day. Five of those machines were nothing but Mt. Dew ..and they had to be refilled twice a day usually.
Never was a fan of KFC. Plus, if I ever got carded out of state, they would ask if I like KFC due to my license being KY. There's a regional chain called Lee's that is better, actually founded by a former employee at the original KFC near London, KY.
Scones and biscuits are NOT the same thing! Everything I have read comparing them says that scones have eggs, and biscuits don't. They don't even taste the same.
In the past decade KFC has really lost both its food quality and my business. Now if I'm not going to make it myself I go to Popeye's or most likely Church's as both are better and generally much faster. I won't go to their restaurants in Corpus Christi or really anywhere in south Texas.
Mountain Dew has several flavors now. It also has more caffeine than coffee.
Mountain Dew is very sweet. It’s like a Mid West/Southern staple. There were news stories about decaying teeth and what not.
It's semolina genius, I hate the American they use on these videos.
So sad that's their only choice in the UK. Here, KFC is like the Olive Garden and McDonald's of chicken. The bottom of the barrel 🙁

KFC does not sell burgers😂😂
I personally have never seen chips/fries at the KFC's where I live in the US.
Only potato wedges.

This was absolutely positively retarded , why compare American, foods with there British American counter part . A daaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh moment.

Biscuits =/= Scones
Our chickens are full of hormones and antibiotics
KFC used to be a go to, but that is now Chick Fil-a. KFC isn't bad, but Chick Fil a is just better.
Do you guys have Popeyes? In the US their chicken is superior to KFC.
Nooo. American biscuits are NOT scones. As an American, that dude should know better.
I worked at a KFC here in the US you can get up to a 48 piece for chicken

The famous popcorn chicken/mash potato bowl is fuxing 💣, one of the best items hands down, and you can make it at home!
More Food Wars! 👍👍

This is the best channel to watch after a hard day at work
Naw the popcorn chicken famous bowl is the best thing on the menu NO CONTEST!
The location of the very first KFC is just down the road from me here in Utah. The restaurant did exist prior, but didn't use the same name.
I'm glad the KFC in my town closed down because the Famous Bowl is too addictive and really bad for you. Lol
KFC over here in the states has gone downhill .
I think Popeyes is way more popular.
Never was a fan of KFC. Plus, if I ever got carded out of state, they would ask if I like KFC due to my license being KY. There's a regional chain called Lee's that is better, actually founded by a former employee at the original KFC near London, KY.
How can they call themselves a KFC and not have mashed potatoes and gravy and biscuits?
Absolutely unacceptable
I will never get used to hearing Brits call chicken sandwiches burgers lol
The US guy is showing what would be for a group of people and not a single individual. I don't know anybody who eats that much KFC alone.
I find it weird fries are the UK default side.
Ours is Mashed potatos and gravy. The fries are a relatively recent addition to the Menu.
I have no idea when kfc decided to sell fries. I've never had them.
The best kfc is korean fried chicken.
No one orders fries at KFC. They are soggy here as well. The top two sides are mashed potatoes and gravy and cole slaw.
Yesssir enjoy these react to more food wars please

2:09 its important to note at KFC in the US the sizes are technically "personal" and "family" not necessarily small and large.
In the past decade KFC has really lost both its food quality and my business.

I dispute that US biscuits are like scones. Maybe visually. I love a biscuit, but can take or leave a scone.
Never ever call a chicken sandwich a burger. A burger is only a burger when it has a hamburger patty on a bun.
They changed the fries recently. Used to only be thick wedges, and now they have more conventional seasoned fries. I like them much better.
