  1. Some of those are good for people with damaged hands and fingers.that can not play normally. For example, I have a friend who lost the tips of fingers in an accident.

  2. Ok so I'm super late to this party and was looking for something completely different (amp demos) and ran across this and am super glad i did.

I've seen all this stuff advertised in magazines and music stores and was genuinely curious about a few of them, so it was nice to actually see them demoed in an honest (and frankly humorous) manner. Kind of expected that jellyfish pick was garbage forever ago, and now am considering buying an ebow to play with.

Also that hammer jammer thing was supposed to make the guitar sound like a hammered dulcimer but since hardly anyone knew what that was i guess the marketed it as sounding like a piano. Kinda sad to find out it's not as well made as i would hope, especially since you can do the same thing with a #2 pencil, but now glad i didn't buy one. Maybe I'll try and make a better alternative.

    Thanks mate.

  3. Tony Iommi had the tips of his fingers cut off in a work accident. He made his own leather finger tips like the rubber ones you featured in this video. He talks about them and shows how they work in one of the interview tapes from Black Sabbath's "Last Supper" Tour DVD. Check it out if you find the time!

  4. I remember buying the jellyfish when I was young and impressionable. Like Samurai said, it sucks real bad. I couldn't figure out any method that would make it sound good. It just gave a screechy, trebley sound that made me want to die.

  5. I use 1 finger guard on my pointer finger as I had a accident as a kid and have only skin and bone at the tip, the finger guard stops so much pain, I tried them on my other fingers as well and no way can I so that, so I only use 1
