The Furniture, a sensory media piece, seeks to put into conversation both iterations of “the furniture”: the interiors of Saint-Henri’s local restaurants, and the people that have, and continue to, frequent them. Part oral history and part archaeological inventory, this film addresses memory and trace related to the gastronomic gentrification of Saint-Henri, Montreal.
