A dual purpose furniture, a chair that is transformable to a table and adjustable in height.
The idea to develop a dual-purpose furniture was a response to a need we observed while travelling. At airport gate waiting areas, people sit in rows on tandem benches that consist of single chair modules. These appliances are very simple without tables or other extras. Waiting time in these environments is transformed into purely wasted time.
Space will become increasingly rare and precious in the future as the world’s population is growing exponentially. It is a matter of responsibility and innovative improvement to start using space in a smarter way. With our dual-purpose furniture we want to improve public spaces; enhance possibilities to for example work and eat. Any public space can be thought of: waiting areas, parks, schoolyards, bars and cafes.
We want to create an attractive and elegant furniture that gives people the possibility to use space and time more wisely.
