This is actually a doomsday preparation video for when climate change forces the collapse of the state and we revert into feudalism. I mean me too thanks.
Edit: in case the downvotes mean people think I’m advertising it or something, I just drive past it weekly and think it’s a massive eyesore as it currently stands.
And do you know this ancient technology was several times better than what our engineers are designing these days. I really wonder why and how nowadays we got more knowledge …….
The guy who started this one also tried to start one in ARkansas. They got it started but ran out of funding. It’s for sale if anyone wants to buy it. Went there a year or so ago and it’s just been abandoned. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozark_Medieval_Fortress
A british tv show about this place popped up in my youtube suggested videos just yesterday. A english show nonetheless, It was pretty good. Here is a link, if anyone wants a more in depth look at it, along with other interesting stuff from the period.
Man I’d love to watch the entire video but the music made me stressed as fuck and constantly had me on the edge of my seat expecting a big explosion or some shit
A great historical fiction to read about this kind of thing is Pillars of the Earth. The story revolves around building a church in a similar time period in Europe. I had a professor who said it was the most accurate historical fiction he’d ever read and this dude seemed to know everything about Medieval history. It was a really good story.
That’s incredible
I would move my family there if all 5 of us could live and work among them like the Amish… My french is no Buenos too so there is that…
Here’s Ep 1 of a documentary series that goes into much more detail about this awesome project.

They have been getting at it for 21 years. I’m pretty sure children of former participants are now working on it too.
The french have always been the ultimate hipsters.
This is what happens when you take larping too seriously.

Uh… they really really need masks if they are working on stones like that. Masons did not live long. Silicosis is not a joke.
