I work with a lot of early 20 somethings. And i hear them quoting this a lot. It makes me smile.
things from 2003 were hitting yesterday, but now this. 2007. Flash-based animated evolved fast, or at least the ideas behind the content. This one doesn’t feel _that_ old. Yet it is.

This is still played for my godson Charlie, who is 12 years old, every time I’m there. He is sick of it and can say the whole thing from memory. Charlie the Unicorn, The Duck Song, and Squirrely Wrath have shaped and ruined him for decades to come. He still calls me though so he’s cool about it.
They are actually making a movie to wrap up the series, it will be done some time!

Jason, the guy behind these videos, used to be part of a small online community I was a part of in the late 90s-early 2000s where we all made little homebrew games for the Mac. It shocked the hell out of me when I ran across this video a number of years ago and realized that one of us actually went on to make a viral internet sensation, but his ambition in hindsight makes sense now. Great to see him succeed!
