  1. Top tier female athlete telling it like it is and people are still saying shes wrong? People… She’s an animal in her sport. Predator vs prey… If she says she can’t compete against men… IT’S TRUUUUUUE!!!!

  2. The same reason why the worlds best woman power lifter will never out lift the mens best power lifter.

We are a sexual dimorphic species. It isn’t an attack on women, its biology.

  3. [This actually happened](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Sexes_(tennis)#1998:_Karsten_Braasch_vs._the_Williams_sisters)

He beat Serena and Venus, one after the other, *after* finishing a round of golf and some beers.

    > 1998: Karsten Braasch vs. the Williams sisters
    > Another event dubbed a “Battle of the Sexes” took place during the 1998 Australian Open[52] between Karsten Braasch and the Williams sisters. Venus and Serena Williams had claimed that they could beat any male player ranked outside the world’s top 200, so Braasch, then ranked 203rd, challenged them both. Braasch was described by one journalist as “a man whose training regime centered around a pack of cigarettes and more than a couple bottles of ice cold lager”.[53][52] The matches took place on court number 12 in Melbourne Park,[54] after Braasch had finished a round of golf and two shandies. He first took on Serena and after leading 5–0, beat her 6–1. Venus then walked on court and again Braasch was victorious, this time winning 6–2.[55] Braasch said afterwards, “500 and above, no chance”. He added that he had played like someone ranked 600th in order to keep the game “fun”.[56] Braasch said the big difference was that men can chase down shots much easier, and that men put spin on the ball that the women can’t handle. The Williams sisters adjusted their claim to beating men outside the top 350.

  4. Serious question – is there any sport that women are considered better than men at?

Edit: I believe the top ultra marathon runners are women but can’t think of anything else

  5. I have a huge amount of respect for people like this that just tell it like it is. Men tend to be better at physical activities. She was honest and thought she could beat him, she was wrong and owned up to it simple as that. At her level 1-2% difference in skill means a loss and 5%+ means a wash.

  6. Can’t lie. I lost a lot of respect for Serena for coming unglued, showing her ass, arguing an officiating call for 10 minutes, screaming “I’m a Mother!” and taking away the spotlight from her deserving opponent who was playing better that day. The fact that she’s doubled down on her reasons and justifications since has only reinforced my perception of Serena the person.

  7. Nobody wanted to hear this, they wanted her to say she didn’t lose because of sexism, and that Osaka is better than her. People will defend Serena to their dying breath but condemn tiger woods as an adulterer (nothing to do with the sport) and denigrate all athletes for their behavior all the time. Sure everyone slips up, but she doubled down on the “I’m a mother”, stole an ICONIC young woman’s victory from her, and turned an entire selfish tirade into a defiant act against the mysogynistic world. Serena has a big head, and this one act doesn’t make her humble or level-headed. Hell she played a dude ranked 203 and got WHOOPED after saying she could beat a man outside the top 200. I so hope she gets another game with Osaka, with a “non sexist” ref and gets obliterated. There is a fine line between confidence and truly having an ego. Serena has an ego.

  8. WHAT THE FUCK!?!??!?! WHAT A SEXIST BITCH!!!!! I CANT BELIEV THIS! I WAS TOLD IN SCHOOOL AND BY MY FELLOW SJW FRIENDS WOMYN AND MYN ARE ARE EQUYAL!!?!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! WE NEED TO RUIN HER LIFE. BAN HER FROM HAVING A JOB SHE LOVES THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /s

  9. I’ve played tennis my entire life and I’m about a 4.5 USTA player. I once got kicked out of a slow bar because I was trying to explain to an off-shift bartender that Serena Williams would get crushed by a men’s college tennis player. Supposedly that made me sexist.
