  1. The court can order you to touch your phone. They can’t order you to give them a password.

    EDIT:

    I stand corrected. After a little research there is tons of case law that enforces the ability to require passwords.

  2. By default, FaceID requires active user attention toward the display, to prevent exactly this kind of thing from happening.

    If you disable it, that’s your fault.

  3. This is fake.

    The phone wont unlock if the owners eyes are closed. There is a reason they didn’t show the owner and the phone unlocking at the same time… because he was in on it and opened his eyes.

  4. I feel like this is so much more of a annoyance then a fingerprint scanner. Like on my pixel I just touch it and im good. Now I have to make sure my whole face is in view tilt the screen to look at me and then it unlocks. like… why?

  5. playing devil’s advocate here couldn’t this just be fake? we never see the sleeping guy’s face when the phone is being unlocked couldn’t he just open his eyes and unlocked the phone?
