Fstoppers and Clay Cook have teamed up to the ultimate photography tutorial. This Editorial and Fashion Photography tutorial is over 11 hours and covers everything from Clay’s photography gear, shooting outside in natural light, lighting complex studio shoots, full post production and retouching, and even a 3 image mock editorial spread at Louisville’s most famous location, Churchill Downs. Clay also shares everything he knows about the business of photography including how to design your website, running a successful social media campaign, drafting up contracts, negotiating pricing, and building up usage rights and licensing.
it's good but he's a pretty average photographer, clothes, model and makeup make a huge difference, all of which he doesn't do himself.
The Derby City shows no pity . You just have to get it done .
05:18 wholy Flaming!
Honestly, this is a perfect example of a photographer that needs 'gear' to succeed. Just keep'in it real!
Very very good!
4:26 – God is watching you shooting with AWB
GREAT WORK KEEP IT COMING
the best video about fashion film
If this is a tutorial, we should say it's a "how to run a bussiness tutorial".
Thank you!
ayeee i live in louisville
I have this course. First, they begin with intros and stuff. Then he takes you to the first lesson in hard sunlight and teaches you how to use light the right way, even if it’s hard sunlight. Then they move to editing the pictures. Next video is another example of hard sunlight shot against a stone structure, which is a lesson of about 30min wherein, the actual photography part is 2min and rest in Photoshop and skin retouching and stuff. My point is, I don’t care how good clay cook is, but if you are gonna make a photoshop course and sell it under the name of a photography course, you are robbing people. This course is total trash and waste of money. He only gives you idea about lighting, which you can pick up from a good photography book or YouTube for free. He ignores everything else. Some of the most important things missing are as follows: proper planning of the shoot. Models and face structures. How focal lengths effect face structures. When to place the camera high or low or level. How to pose a model (this is literally 50% of what photography is). How the posing structure works and creates composition. And there is so much more. This course is basically a photoshop course where he ignores everything that is supposed to be done in camera. He does it, but doesn’t teach u a thing. All they do is spend 90-95% of the duration of the video on computer. If you really wanna learn something about photography, don’t waste your money on this trash course. Instead, pick up something like Lara Jade’s The Fashion series. Or go to a good workshop. Believe me, if you get this course, it means u have lot of money to waste. I will never ever get anything from fstoppers. I’ve learnt they are overrated piece of shit.
His indoor shoots look like a copy of Annie Liebovitz's shots. They're still amazing looking.
The sound effect is really amazing. Could you please tell me the background song name? I like it much
Super inspired by this video bro!! Great stuff 📸
After downloading the tutorial there's really not much in here that you couldn't find on YouTube. Pretty basic stuff
The Men with Silly Earrings Secret Society strikes again.
This is so great I'm always late to the party totally love this.
I BOUGHT THIS AND IT REALLY SUCKS. DO NOT EXPLAIN THE EDITING COMPLETELY AND SKIP STEPS. NOT WORTH IT. I CONTACTED THEM BUT NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY.
Great information
The photographer is good but all he does is take the photo with light composition. He literally has a team for everything, I mean EVERYTHING! I understand having a team to assist with production and hair/makeup but he don’t even retouch or actually fix the photos. I wish I had the money to set a team like that where all I do is take the photos of my ideas. This video wasn’t helpful at all to me since most of the photographers starting out don’t have a team. We build our own studio, fix our own photos, and so forth.
3:37 both shots are terrible dude.. jesus! terrible shadows
This guy actually knows what he's talking about
