I've never seen those Spiralkartoffeln before, but I like. One thing I did miss is the Currywurst, but then again, being form Hamburg, I'd always expect there being a place that sells a good Currywurst. Another thing I missed (though not exactly streetfood) is the Döner. No city in Germany is complete without a Dönerbude.
The best time in Germany is a Christmas market, or Weihnachtsmarkt. All seasons there are great, but it’s a wonderful experience then. The street vendors are serious in what they sell. Cooked with passion is one way to describe. One stall many brats and various sausages cooked to perfection. Always get a warm mulled wine called Gluhwein (For Americans, sounds like glue vine.) from the next booth, which is oh so wonderful! Row after row of beautiful German trinkets to buy while the smells from these booths are assaulting your senses. oh my goodness, I think it’s time to plan another trip.
